Wesley Todd Ball (Farrar & Ball, Houston, TX) was named to Texas Rising Stars from 2010 to 2014 and Texas Super Lawyers from 2014 to present. His practice, formed after leaving the defense firm of Adams and Reese to focus on plaintiff litigation. His practice focuses on automobile and tire litigation and has been lead counsel against virtually every major automobile and tire manufacturer, domestic and foreign. Nicholas S. Gurney, (Newsome | Melton) a graduate of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, he has earned verdicts in excess of $1 million in both Collier and Palm Beach Counties. He is on the Board of Directors for the Florida Justice Association and a Top 40 Under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers. Nick was awarded by the University of Florida School of Law with the Helen C. Blechman Memorial Award in recognition of his provision of more free legal services than any other graduate.

Rachel Lanier (Lanier Law Firm, New York, NY) serves on the Executive committee for the Top 40 Under 40, National Trial Lawyers. Justin Nematzadeh (DiCello Levitt Gutzler, New York, NY) was integral to achieving a nearly $3 billion settlement with Brazilian oil giant Petrobras in 2018 - the fifth-largest class action settlement in U.S. history. He was honored by Law360 as a Rising Star the same year. Justin has learned “you have to sort of incorporate different lenses in how you review documents and how you depose witnesses. Marc Simon (Simon & Simon, Philadelphia, PA) formed his firm in 2010 after working as a commercial litigator for two large Philadelphia firms, including servings on the hiring committee at Oabermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel. He obtained a $41.86 million jury verdict and subsequent $46 million settlement (during the punitive damages phase) for an injured motorcyclist dragged more than 500 feet by a Southern California Gas Company truck and $53.74 million for two brothers injured in a head-on truck crash. He was also a member of the trial team that earned a landmark $160.5 million verdict following less than 5 hours of deliberation for a man who suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of a vicious beating by security personnel for a nightclub. Matthew received the Moffett Litigation Award of Outstanding Achieve in Trial Preparation and Litigation in 2014 while at Emory University School of Law.

    Continuing Legal Education

    An application for accreditation for continuing legal education credit (approximately 11.75 credit hours, including 2.0 ethics hours for 60 minute states and approximately 14.10 credit hours, including 2.4 ethics hours for 50 minute states) has been submitted to all mandatory CLE states.
