Denise M. Dunleavy (Of Counsel, Kramer & Dunleavy, New York, NY) was named by the National Law Journal as one of the nation’s top 50 women litigators. As the senior trial lawyer in the firm, she has won numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements including being the only lawyer to receive a punitive damage award in a products liability case against a breast implant manufacturer by a federal judge following a bench trial. In addition, she tried the first breast implant case alleging and proving that breast cancer resulted from the polyurethane foam of a particular implant. In that case, she won a $4.5 million dollar verdict for her client and was instrumental in getting the product removed from the marketplace within six weeks after the verdict.

Ken Abbarno (DiCello Levitt & Casey, Mentor, OH) spent more than 25 years representing trucking companies from accident to trial, establishing himself as one of the preeminent attorneys litigating transportation accident claims. At Reminger Co. LPA, he was involved in more than 100 cases with exposure in excess of $1 million and servied on the firm's catastrophic case response team, arriving at the accident shortly after the accident. Mr. Abbarno has been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyer since 2010 and has tried more than 50 civil lawsuits to verdict.

Charles Allen (Charles Allen Law Firm, Atlanta, GA) has more than 20 years representing clients in personal injury cases. As an owner of a construction business, he was in an Oklahoma courtroom listening to an 8-minute cross-examination. That eight minutes convinced him he was in the wrong career and he enrolled in night courses at Atlanta Law School. After a month of persisting, he convinced the Keenan Ashman law firm to hire him as courier/clerk. Four months later he was working with the main partner preparing witnesses and assisting in cross-examination prep. He stayed at the Keenan firm for 16 years before opening his own firm in 2012, where he has earned more than $40 million for his clients. Mr. Allen has lectured extensively on trial skills, with emphasis on depositions.

Khaldoun Baghdadi (Walkup Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, San Francisco, CA) was part of the trial team in the Pinnacle hip implant litigation trial which resulted in a verdict in excess of $1 billion. He has also earned more than ten other verdicts and settlements in excess of $1 million. Mr. Baghdadi has been names a Northern California Super Lawyer since 2009. He served an adjunct instructor teaching trial advocacy at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law and also at the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. Mr. Baghdadi is an instructor on trial technique, deposition practice and lawyering skills for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy.

Lynne Blain (Harman Claytor Corrigan Wellman, Richmond, VA) concentrates her practice on the defense of complex medical cases, including claims of traumatic brain injury, medical malpractice, nursing home/long term care and products liability. Ms. Blain has lectured on a number of occasions on the defense of the mild TBI case, analysis of life care plans, documentation in a nursing home setting, and the ethics of the relationship between the defense counsel, insured and insurer.

Leo J. Clark, M.D., F.A.C.S., J.D., (DiCello Law Firm, Mentor, OH) maintains a respected career in both the medical and legal professions. Dr. Clark received his Doctor of Medicine from the George Washington University School of Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He held teaching positions at Yale University School of Medicine, University of Connecticut and New York University. In addition, he served as research fellow at Yale University, where he worked in spinal cord research. He received his juris doctorate degree from the University of Toledo College of Law.

Dr. Carlos Jaramillo (Physician Life Care Planning) is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist, who has practiced medicine since 2012. A licensed physician in the states of Texas and Virginia, he is certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. In addition, Dr. Jaramillo is a Certified Life Care Planner, as designated by the International Commission on Health Care Certification. Dr. Jaramillo earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in Developmental Biology from the University of Chicago. He performed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he served as Chief Resident. In addition to practicing clinical physiatry, Dr. Jaramillo is a prolific clinical researcher and author on topics of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Hassan Murphy (Murphy Falcon Murphy, Baltimore, MD) has led to settlements and verdicts in excess of $300 million, including the negotiation of a $54 million settlement in an environmental torts case—without ever filing suit. In 2011, Mr. Murphy was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Marylanders by The Daily Record. He was also recognized as National Trial Lawyer of the Year by Trial Lawyers for Public Justice in 2002. Jamie Williams, Ph.D., (Robson Forensic, Lancaster, PA) focuses on orthopedic and musculoskeletal biomechanics. Dr. Williams is a visiting professor at Rush University Medical Center and adjunct professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago in the Department of Bioengineering. Prior to joining Robson, she was the Assistant Director of the Orthopedic Biomechanics Laboratory at Rush. She is a member of the Orthopaedic Research Society and the Association for the Advancement of Automotive Medicine.
