Biography

Michael O’Hern is the founder and principal Crash Reconstructionist for O’Hern Consultants, Inc., a company located in the Chicago area that provides analysis of vehicular crashes for the purposes of litigation. Mr. O’Hern is a certified Traffic Crash Reconstruction Specialist and a licensed Private Investigator. He has extensive training and experience within the traffic crash investigation and reconstruction field. Mr. O’Hern is a retired Sergeant from the Tinley Park Police Department, where he was the supervisor of their major crash investigation unit for over 20 years. He is a former adjunct instructor at Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. In his over 28 years of experience in the field, Mr. O’Hern has handled thousands of vehicular crashes involving commercial vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, motorcycles, and passenger vehicles. Mr. O’Hern has extensive testimonial experience having testified in over 250 depositions and over 100 trials.
