Biography

Larry was recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business as one of the top personal injury lawyers in the city. He was co-counsel in the record $100 million settlement (largest settlement to a single family in the country) for a family injured and killed in a van fire. The case exposed the Illinois Secretary of State office of selling CDLs to unqualified truck drivers and forced re-testing. In the first half o 2016 alone, Larry resolved $27 million in cases, including $8 million in a police misconduct case, $7.75 million in a trucking negligence action, and $11.5 in medical malpractice actions.

In representing families in civil rights and police misconduct cases, Larry was involved in the 2015 police involved shooting death of Bettie Ruth Jones on the west side of Chicago and Diamond Reynolds, who live-streamed on Facebook the police involved shooting death of her boyfriend, Philandro Castile, in Minnesota in 2016. Larry has been recognized as Illinois Super Lawyers since 2005 and in the Top 100 Lawyers in Leading Lawyers Magazine 2016.
